Changes in Burnout and Satisfaction With Work-Life Balance in Physicians and the General US Working Population Between 2011 and 2014
The findings of this study are startling. From 2011 until October of 2014 the percentage of physicians experiencing at least one of the three major symptoms of job burnout has climbed from 45.5% to 54.4% as measured by the Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI). This is a Medical Emergency and the house of medicine is now the patient!
